In the heart of the Empordà, this interior design project unfolds as an ode to calm, serene beauty and the essence of what is handmade, with a local soul and respect for the territory. Photographed by Montse Capdevila in the Studio Tramuntana space, the scenography takes shape through the refined vision and interior styling of Mambo Studi.

The renovation has sought to generate open, bright and well-connected spaces, prioritizing an agile and efficient distribution. To reinforce this feeling of comfort and balance, neutral tones, natural woods and embracing textiles have been used, bringing warmth and serenity. The furniture has been carefully selected to complement the spaces, offering comfort and functionality without overloading the environment. All of this is accompanied by lighting designed to enhance natural light during the day and generate intimate and cozy environments at night.

The project is the result of a collaboration between several artists who share an honest look at the art of living. Studio Tramuntana has provided solid and timeless furniture; Kilzi – Jorge Suárez has designed lighting that plays with shadow and volume; Cotlin Raw has selected textiles with organic textures and neutral tones; Teixits Emilia has also provided linen textiles with beige colors and a fresh texture; Areté de l’Empordà has incorporated artisanal ceramics with a Mediterranean soul and movement; and José Maria de Aurora has completed the atmosphere with a pictorial work of poetic sensitivity, providing the touch of nature’s green color.

Inspired by the balance between Mediterranean aesthetics and the purity of Japanese minimalism, the design and assembly of the project create an atmosphere that breathes peace, contemplation and elegance. The space not only accommodates the objects, but also makes them dialogue with each other, highlighting their intrinsic beauty and allowing each one to stand out on its own. Its textures and finishes place us in a deeply Mediterranean scene, where volume, color, texture and warmth transport us and embrace us.

This work not only proposes a way of decorating, but a way of looking at and inhabiting spaces with intention. It is an invitation to stop, to observe, to connect with matter and silence, giving value to local craftsmanship and the delicate coherence of all the elements that coexist in harmony.
